K-pop labels delight fans with a plethora of content, and who could complain? Beyond concerts, album releases, interviews, and live streams, numerous K-pop groups have their own variety shows.

These shows let fans see their favorite idols in a relaxed, fun setting, and are great for new fans to get to know the group better. Most importantly, they are fantastic stress busters.

As a long-time multi-stan, idol variety shows often serve as my gateway to new fandoms. Below, I share some of my all-time favorites.

Going Seventeen – Variety show by kpop group Seventeen

Seventeen’s “Going Seventeen” is so iconic that its fanbase has its own name: Cubics. Many fans start as Cubics, enjoy the show, and then become Carats, Seventeen’s official fandom. The hilarity of this show makes it a must-watch.

Run BTS! – Variety show by kpop group BTS

Although it’s been two years since its last episode, “Run BTS!” still holds a special place in my heart. It was the first variety show I watched.

Biases aside, the episodes are packed with laugh-out-loud moments, and watching the members betray each other over trivial rewards is endlessly entertaining.

Time To Twice – Twice

I wasn’t even a Once when I started watching “Time To Twice,” but the show’s different concepts quickly made it one of my all-time favorites. From a dating show in “TTT Soulmate” to a “Death Note”-inspired season, the creativity in each season keeps it fresh and fun.

Hard Carry – GOT7

With GOT7 being naturally chaotic and hilarious, their variety show “Hard Carry” is full of inside jokes, backstabbing, and legendary moments. It’s a show packed with laughs and meme-worthy content that you can’t miss.

SKZ Code – Variety Show by Kpop group Stray Kids

Put the Stray Kids members in a room, and they’re bound to start bickering and teasing each other. “SKZ Code” has a wholesome vibe at times, but the members’ humor always shines through. The horror episodes are particularly funny and worth rewatching for a quick laugh.

Wanteez – Ateez kpop group variety show

I started watching “Wanteez” before becoming an Atiny, and it’s one of the funniest idol variety shows. The humor is so memorable that it’s a shame there aren’t more episodes—though it’s still ongoing, so there’s hope for more laughs.

Leniverse – Le Sserafim kpop group variety show

For top-tier idol variety content, look no further than Le Sserafim’s “Leniverse.” The creative games and concepts highlight the funny side of these girls, and I eagerly await more episodes.
